David Baldwin brings 8 years of driving experience to Nussbaum. The combination of good pay and a genuine love of the open road — along with the chance to see new places — drew him to trucking, and it’s a pull that hasn’t faded. Before getting behind the wheel, David worked in a warehouse. When he’s home, he trades the cab for his motorcycle. His dream vacation is simple and well-earned: sitting on a private beach. Gerald “Jerry” Lawson
Domicile: Greenfield, IN
Gerald Lawson — who goes by Jerry — comes to Nussbaum with 13 years of trucking experience. A major life change sent him searching for a fresh start, and the road answered the call. Before driving, Jerry worked as a home builder and mechanic — a hands-on background that translates well to life on the road. Off duty, he stays active riding bikes and playing golf. His dream destination is Hawaii, and chili fries are his go-to road fuel. One thing Jerry wants people to know about him: he values honesty above all else. Welcome aboard, Jerry!

Matthew Ball

Matthew Ball has been doing what he loves for 2.5 years — driving. A genuine love of being behind the wheel is what pulled him into trucking, and it’s the kind of motivation that sticks. Before the road, Matt worked in construction. When he’s off duty, he heads outside for fishing and hunting. His dream vacation would take him to Alaska or Hawaii. Breianda “Bre” Butler
Domicile: Indianapolis, IN
Breianda Butler — who goes by Bre — had a clear vision when she got into trucking 3.5 years ago: explore the United States and get paid for it. Before hitting the road, she worked security at a dairy plant. Off the truck, Bre is all about gaming and anything that gives her a break from driving. Her dream trip would take her to Bali or the Maldives. On the road, she keeps a well-stocked snack lineup — jerky sticks, hot or barbecue pork rinds, and fruity candy. One thing Bre wants people to know: she’s an introvert, and the quiet of trucking is a big part of the appeal — with just enough excitement mixed in to keep things interesting. Welcome aboard, Bre!

Phillip Key
Domicile: Cookeville, TN
Phillip Key is a seasoned veteran, bringing 22 years of driving experience to Nussbaum. He got into trucking wanting to do something different, and after more than two decades it’s clearly been the right call. Before the road, Phillip worked at Walmart. Home time is all about family. His dream is to make it to Australia someday, and he keeps it simple on the road with Chex-Mix. Welcome aboard, Phillip!

Accounting Analyst
We are thrilled to share that we have hired an Accounting Analyst. Isaiah has a degree in Actuarial Science and has spent the last year and a half working in with a company doing AI training. We are excited to bring him on to Nussbaum joining the talented group in Accounting!
Tori Taufer
Customer Account Coordinator (CAC)
We are thrilled to share that we have filled one of the two openings for CAC. Tori Taufer will be starting with Nussbaum on 6/15/2026. Tori has spent the last 7 years working at VIVO working both in the office and warehouse working with orders and inventory. We look forward to adding Tori to the CAC team!
