James Johnson is excited to kick off a brand-new chapter as a first-time truck driver. James is a graduate of the Nussbaum-Heartland Driving Academy. Feeling called to make a career change, James’ brother-in-law and Nussbaum driver, Zach Blankenship, recommended trucking. Before getting behind the wheel of a semi, he worked at a warehouse. James’ favorite road snack is candy. When he’s not on the road, James loves to cook, explore new places, and spend quality time with his 3 daughters. Welcome aboard, James!

Saad Islam
Domicile: Columbus, OH
Saad Islam comes to Nussbaum with 6 months of driving experience and got into trucking because he wanted to try a new opportunity. Before trucking, Saad worked for Uber. Outside of work, he enjoys a good book and his favorite road snack is a smoothie. Welcome aboard, Saad!

Jason Cox
Domicile: Corydon, IN
Jason Cox is a brand-new driver who was looking for a rewarding career that offered long term employment/retirement — and trucking stood out to him. Before earning his CDL, Jason was an electrician. When the truck is parked, you’ll find him fishing, hunting, working on his farm, or spending time with his family. His favorite road snack is beef jerky. Jason also would like to share that he loves to glean wisdom from older folks and describes himself as a down to earth type of person. Welcome aboard, Jason!

Steve Smith
Domicile: Grovertown, IN
Steve Smith is just starting his journey on the road. He got into driving because he injured his shoulder and without having a certain cause from doctors, Steve resigned from his job of 20 years. This led to Steve taking up trucking. Before trucking he worked at a factory. Outside of work you can find Steve going on camping adventures and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. His go-to road snack is the root beer barrel candy. Welcome aboard, Steve!

Amadou Diallo
Domicile: Worthington, OH
Amadou Diallo arrives at Nussbaum with 3 years of experience and a genuine love for the open road. He got into trucking because he loved traveling and trying new things. Before trucking he worked at a warehouse. He enjoys speding time with his family, going to the gym, and playing soccer. Fun fact, Amadou has been to 3 continents! He loves all kinds of road snacks so he isn’t picky if you want to give him some snacks for the road 😉 Amadou would also like to share that he is a passionate, respectful, and hardworking person.
