“I would like to nominate Don Shank for an OWNit Moment. This isn’t just for one specific reason, but for constantly being willing to step in and help wherever needed. One big example occurred a few weeks ago, when a driver called in sick at the last minute. Because this particular route required a forklift-certified driver to load and unload their own trailer, we couldn’t just have anyone fill in without extra measures being taken. We did have someone graciously fill in for the night run portion, which was wonderful. However, we still needed someone that could load and unload the trailer at each stop. Don quickly agreed to take on this extra responsibility. Don not only waited at a few of the stops to unload/load this trailer, but he also transferred product to his truck to make a stop that was not on his route, just to make sure the customer got their product on time. Don often volunteers to assist in situations like this. I greatly appreciate his willingness to lessen the load (pun intended) for other drivers while striving to deliver on-time and exceptional service. Thank you, Don!” – Jeremy Short
