Hello employee owners!
I’m excited to share some news with each of you. We recently purchased a 1946 Ford 1½-ton truck (Model 69T), powered by a 239-cubic-inch flathead V8. It is the same model as the very first truck Nussbaum owned, and it has been completely restored in great working order to it’s original condition. It is on its way to us now and should be arriving soon.
If you’ve walked in the main doors of the Welcome Center and walked to the right, you have probably seen the picture of our first truck on the wall. Our plan is to make this truck look just like that picture. We are looking for a box for the back end, and we plan to repaint it to match the original. Once the work is done, we will find a prominent spot on our campus to display it for everyone to enjoy.
This will take some time…..so please be patient with us. 😊 In the meantime, I’ve attached a few pictures of the truck we purchased and another of the original.
When I think about where we started with one truck in 1945 and where we are today, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness to this company and to each of you. This truck is a great reminder of where we came from.
