Referral Bonus Update Effective July 1, 2026
At Nussbaum, we know that great drivers know great drivers. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’ve made major improvements to the referral bonus program — specifically for experienced driver referrals.
Experienced Driver Referrals — Your Two Options
Option 1: Lump-Sum Payout (New & Improved)
- $2,000 after the referred driver passes orientation and gets out on their first load
- $2,000 after the referred driver reaches 6 months of employment
- Total potential payout: $4,000
Option 2: Per-Mile Bonus (Increased Rate)
- $0.04 per mile you run — double the previous $0.02 rate
- Paid on every mile you run
- Continues as long as both you and your referred driver are employed at Nussbaum
Inexperienced Driver Referrals — No Changes
Same structure as before: $500 payout or $0.02 per mile.
A Referral Can Come From Anywhere
You don’t have to know someone personally to refer them. If you meet a driver out on the road, send them our way. Our Recruiting team handles all the vetting and hiring — you just make the connection. The more drivers you refer, the more you can earn.
