On Thursday, October 15th, we gathered to celebrate Kent Pitchford and his amazing accomplishment of reaching 1 million miles as a Certified Red Driver!
Kent’s journey with Nussbaum began on July 25, 2011, when he joined our team as a system driver. He took his first steps with Certified RED on October 2, 2017, and earned his certification on July 1, 2018, distinguishing himself as one of our elite Nussbaum drivers. Four and a half years later, he reached 500,000 safe, Certified RED miles, an amazing accomplishment all by itself! Ever since then, he’s been working toward this moment.
One million miles is a milestone very few drivers ever reach. That’s the equivalent of driving around the Earth 40 times, and Kent did it with the skill, patience, and professionalism that make him such a valued part of our team. Behind every one of those miles is a long list of early mornings, long hauls, changing weather, and careful decisions that kept Kent, his load, and everyone sharing the road safe.
Kent, thank you for more than 15 years of dedication to Nussbaum and to the road. We’re proud to have you on the team, and we’re ready to celebrate with you!
