The Best Catch
We were gifted a great day Saturday, October 1st. It marked our fifth year of hosting the Fishing Derby! The morning was filled with smiles, excitement, laughter, and of course – full bellies (from donuts, hot dogs, brats, bundt cakes, and fresh-off-the-hook fried fish). Families came dressed with funny hats, camo gear, and jean jackets! We had 114 registered fishers with around 220 in attendance. Our biggest catch weighed in at 3.13 lbs. But… our best catch was not the biggest fish caught – it was the gift of seeing our Nussbaum family come together.
