The Nussbaum Benevolence Committee hosted our second annual Tender Mercies packing event with Midwest Food Bank on Tuesday, November 14. We were blown away by the generosity of you all (and amount of bags packed)! Last year, you guys worked so hard we ran out of product and had to shut down early, so this year MFB came prepared with plenty of supplies. We were able to fill bags the entire day, which meant we were able to help even more people!
In all, we packed 39 boxes (last year we only did 22) which is 1,565 individual bags (compared to last year’s 880), which is a total of 6,260 meals! What a gift! As he was leaving, Brent Reddish from MFB expressed how well everyone did and that we should be proud of the work put into this event. Thank you all for being the hands and feet of Jesus in helping serve others – we have so much to be thankful for!
Now, enjoy some photos!
