“I would like to nominate several employee-owners for an OWN-it Moment. These individuals recently defended me in a cyberbullying incident on Facebook, before I had even noticed it: Keith Salyer, Vincent Williams, Adrienne Riel, Heather Warnick, Mimi Barthel, and Jackie (and Joanna) Bishop. The gist of the incident was this: there was a video posted of me checking my fifth wheel pin before getting back into my truck. The video was only about 13 seconds long but was enough time for several people to make hurtful and hateful comments about my physical appearance, even going so far as to question my DOT physical certification. There were many people that I did not know who commented on my behalf, defending me, but I wanted to specifically shout out my friends here at Nussbaum (Keith, Vincent, Adrienne, Heather, Mimi, & Jackie) who spoke out on my behalf, as well as condemned those sharing hurtful comments. I want to be clear that I’m not hurting from this personal attack as I have very thick skin (pun intended 😉) and I am happy knowing that the good people I work with have my back as I have theirs. Thank you to these employee-owners for their kindness in protecting me and showing kindness towards a fellow Nussbaum employee.” – Sam Moravec
