The Leadership Mentality

To me, a leader is someone who is dependable and goes the extra mile to help their team succeed. Someone who chooses to carry greater responsibility for others around them. Good leaders make the most of their situation and solve complex problems using their best judgment and resources. Their team members look up to them and seek their advice or direction.

To the Young Professionals at Nussbaum Transportation

With so many new leadership roles opening in the company, young people have the chance to fill these positions, providing a new direction for our future. Leadership is a mentality; we must push ourselves to stay on task and achieve Nussbaum’s goals. For me, this has been a learning curve – understanding my expectations and serving my coworkers to the best of my ability so they can succeed in their fields. Sometimes I am unsure of what advice to give or what decision to make. Other times, I find it is best to take a step back and get a larger perspective on the situation. And as young people, we can always learn from our experienced drivers and seasoned leaders who set high standards for the benefit of us all.

Future leaders of Nussbaum, we should strive each and every day to meet and exceed the expectations of quality and care that are unique to this company. Let’s be purpose-driven for our drivers, coworkers, and customers who help this company grow
