John comes to Nussbaum with 22 years of experience in the trucking industry. He grew up near Chicago, and he got into trucking because he loves to drive. His favorite memory from the road was seeing Mt. Shasta on I-5 in Oregon. John’s ideal road snack is apples & Sunchips. Off the road, you might find him watching movies or hanging out with his wife and children. John also shares that Jesus is his hero!

Brian Lucas
Domicile: Channahon
Also a trucking veteran, Brian has 15 years of driving experience. It was his grandma who first encouraged him to start trucking. Brian enjoys spending time with his family when off the road, and his favorite road snack is any non-sugary food. His favorite memory from the road was going out west. Brian grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois. He also shares that he is a good person to help you out with your problems.

New Shop Hire
Alex Pappas
We are excited to share that Alex Pappas will be joining Nussbaum on our Trailer Tech side. He will be starting on 12/16/2024. Alex has spent his most recent time working at Rivian. His job involved maintenance, repair, and building items such as carts to help line workers better move things around. That brought in experience with welding, electrical work, and just overall hands-on repair. We are excited to be adding him and look forward to what he can bring to the table.

We would like to share some important news regarding the IT team. With Morné’s planned departure at the end of January, we’ve been thoughtfully exploring how to fill his role. Morné has been a remarkable team member, known for his talent in helping others—a quality that’s truly irreplaceable.
After careful consideration, we are excited to announce that Dan Craig has stepped up to take this position. Dan’s passion for assisting others and his dedication to excellence have been evident in every interaction, making him a natural fit for this role. In his new role as a Senior Service Analyst, Dan will take on level 2 support responsibilities while also managing key areas like Office 365 and Endpoint management.
