“Over the past 2-3 years, Nussbaum’s food events and onsite lunches have probably tripled in frequency. Things like Network lunches, more managers holding lunch meetings, more special events, regular Food Days, and such have stretched our resident hospitality experts (by name – Tianne O and Heather S).
Tianne, Brent, and I were discussing this growing workload one morning when Vicky Brown walked in the front door. Perfect timing! The same Vicky Brown who put in 30 years and six months at Nussbaum and retired from her CAC position in January 2019.
Vicky is going to re-join Nussbaum in a part-time role. She will be handling onsite lunch orders, special event planning, setup of hotels/food for offsite events such as Resilience Day or Crucial Conversations training, etc. She also readily agreed to prepare her famous cupcakes on a weekly basis at the very least (…ok, the cupcake part might just be a rumor).
She will be handling some of her duties from home, but in the future, when there is good food in the Welcome Center, you will very likely see Vicky in the middle of it! We are thankful that this solution seemed to fall right into our lap. Vicky is a living Nussbaum legend, and we are thrilled to put her hospitality, service, and smile back to work!!” -Jeremy Stickling
