Nussbaum Providing Face Masks
As a reminder, here is the message Jeremy sent out regarding facemasks provided by Nussbaum:
To all. The Face Covering/Mask requirements are growing, and are now in NY, NJ, MD, CT, and PA. Many cities also have these, such as LA, Laredo, and several suburbs in the Chicago area. Nussbaum secured an order for 1,000 washable face masks, as well as 2,000 KN-95 masks (different than medical-needed N-95). When these orders arrive over the next week or two, we intend to mail out care packages and try to help provide.
There is consistency in how these are issued. They mostly require face covering in “Public Spaces” – so at stores, on sidewalks, when pumping fuel, all would be examples. Private property/limited access is exempt, however, we are also seeing customers put this in place for drivers on their property. We do NOT see these rules applied to an individual in their vehicle.
You should act on your own and be prepared, until we are able to get supplemental supplies out to our drivers. Even if you can’t find a mask to purchase, wrapping a t-shirt around your mouth can serve as a cloth covering. There are TONS of youtube videos on easy-to-make masks. Take action. Watch for signage that will indicate requirements if you are in a public space that has these new ordinances.
