We believe that God owns this business. Everything that we have is His, and we are just stewards of it for a season. What does God want us to do with the resources (money, time, talents) that He has entrusted to us? One of our core values is benevolence. We believe that God grew this business to be used for Himself, and we in turn need to be the hands and feet of Jesus in giving our money, time and talents to organizations that glorify and honor Him.
What is the Benevolence Committee?
At the end of 2021, discussions between Brent Nussbaum, Chris Aranda, and Jeremy Stickling brought up some questions. How can we amplify the benevolence branch of our core values? Is there a way that we can be more transparent with our employees and customers about what we (and in turn they) are supporting?
In September of 2022, Chris Aranda organized a group to become Nussbaum’s newest committee: the Benevolence Committee. The goal of this committee is to amplify and support the benevolence side of Nussbaum’s core values. This group includes Chris Aranda, Noah Zimmerman, Lisa Burton, Maya Hodel, and Jessi Blunier.

The committee’s purpose is to serve as a bridge between our employee-owners and our charities of choice. They would take on event planning, employee development, and helping with inbound charity requests, all under the umbrella of our core mission and vision statements: to honor God as stewards of this business by living out our vision and values, and to be purpose driven in everything we do, to positively impact the lives of everyone we interact with.
How Can I Play a Part?
The baton now passes to you, employee-owner. Every employee-owner will have opportunities to participate in and help with charity events organized by the Benevolence Committee. Look for announcements about upcoming events via the dashboard.
