Have you submitted any pictures for the Clean Trailer Sweepstakes? Week one finished with 88 submissions!
There’s still plenty of time to participate – just about two months’ worth of time. This is a marathon competition, not a sprint, and slow and steady is what will clinch a spot in the Top 25. If you’re in the Top 25, you’ll win anywhere from $100 to $3,000.
Take a look at a highlight from the Clean Trailer Sweepstakes this week from Bryan Severson.
Clean to the (Apple) Core

“I got a backhaul from Landstar, going from near Prineville to Ludington. I called the shipper to set things up for pickup. At the end of the conversation, the lady said, ‘Make sure you have a receipt for a trailer wash-out.’
I’m glad I called. The load was apples. Apples!
When I got to the shipper, I got in line to get loaded. I watched them load wooden crates of apples into the trailers ahead of me. And then I’m up!
The forklift guy said, ‘Follow me.’
We left the dock area, and he directed me to back up to a conveyer system.
Once loaded, I had my 34-hour reset, plus a 4-day trip. It was 96 degrees. And this was the aftermath…
And of course, my next load was Morton Salt. A near food-grade trailer is needed. The closest trailer washout was 158 miles in the opposite direction. So, I asked the receiver if I could wash it out there.
I still hate apples!”
But, wow, is that a clean trailer Bryan!
