Helping Hand

Dwain Bounds

Recently, Dwain Bounds made my day!

While hooking a trailer at Michelin, I saw Dwain’s familiar face. As always, we greeted one another and exchanged pleasantries, and then we were on our way.

My next trip took me to the Channahon yard. I had connected an empty that turned out to be dirty, so I had to clean the trailer.

It was extremely muddy outside, and as an added challenge, there were deep-standing puddles. My boots were muddy, and it was proving quite difficult to get safely into the back of the trailer with all of the mud. I was concerned about slipping.

As a safety measure, I sought help from a fellow driver. I looked up and saw Dwain also turning in at Channahon. I asked for his help, and he obliged with a smile.

It’s always a joy to encounter warmth and kindness from fellow Nussbaum drivers. The camaraderie and goodwill go a long way, especially when we face arduous daily tasks and challenges.

Dwain, you took the time from your busy day to help me to be safe and successful. Thank you immensely!

Keep safe in your lane and keep your head up. I appreciate you.
