God is Near || Spotted in Sturgis, MI
One evening I was in a really low spot mentally and emotionally. I cried out to God and then began to read the Bible. The promise of God in Psalms 147:3 was so calming. I highlighted it and began to memorize it. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
The following day, I was in town and ordered some food for my sons in the drive through. When I pulled the car around the building to the pick-up window, I saw a long semi trailer with the words “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.” I wanted to snap a photo, but just sat in silence as I thought about how God brought me that message. It wasn’t the same exact verse, but it was the same message to me. God is near. He will heal my broken heart. He sees me. He hears me. He loves me.
It was no coincidence. I could have still been ordering and missed it. There could have been a vehicle in front of me. Or I could have been paying for the food,. I wasn’t even planning to be in town that day. It was clearly God, speaking to me through your obedience to Him. Thank you!
I glanced toward the truck and read the name Nussbaum. When I got home, I told my husband what happened and did a quick search for your name and the verse. And here I am. Another testimony about the goodness of God
