Perfection
There’s only been one good person to walk the earth and that’s God.
The only perfect person on earth, was the one we crucified.
Christianity is not earning enough favor so that we can get to God but it is God coming to us. We celebrate Easter in remembrance of Jesus taking our sin and shame on the cross, dying, and three days later- rising again. On the cross, Jesus took our sin and he gave us his perfect record. Through faith in him, we also, can experience new life.
“For our sake he made him to be sin, who knew no sin, so that in him, we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus Has Risen
Historians cannot deny Jesus lived and died. Later, over 500 eyewitnesses claimed that they saw Jesus.
“That Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.”

Imagine if you were in a court of law and you heard 500 people all saying the same thing? The evidence would be overwhelming. The disciples, who were first weeping, are now rejoicing and confident. Would you come up with such strength on a lie? Jesus is alive.
Our hope can be found in the words of Christ who defeated death, “…Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:19) May this news give you a lasting joy and hope. Happy Easter!
