A Benevolence Highlight
Christian Aid Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Most of their support comes from Amish, Mennonite, and other conservative Anabaptist groups or individuals. Their mission is to minister to physical and spiritual needs worldwide, encouraging God’s people and bringing the Gospel to a lost and dying world.
Through nearly 80 programs, CAM provides aid, distributes food and clothing, operates clinical facilities, delivers Bibles, and engages in disaster relief efforts, among other initiatives. By God’s grace, CAM strives to be an honest, efficient channel enabling the church to meet needs worldwide. They desire to connect people who want to help with people who need help.
Here’s a breakdown of what they do:
- Provide Basic Needs – distribute food, clothing, and seeds. Operate and support clinical facilities to treat medical needs.
- Fight Material Poverty – provide self-help resources, including microloans, saving groups, agricultural programs, and Christ-centered teaching.
- Supply Bible Resources – deliver Bibles and other Christian literature around the world.
- Clean Up & Rebuild – restore homes and infrastructure impacted by natural disasters for affected families and survivors in the US.
- Help Crisis Victims – assist recovery victims worldwide afflicted by various crises.
- Help Conscientious Objectors – provide alternative places of employment for conscientious objectors to serve should the US activate a military draft.
- Present the Gospel along Highways – install Gospel-centered billboards along America’s highways.
- Support Church Planting and Discipleship – support church planting efforts in Romania, Haiti, and Liberia. Operate Biblical Discipleship Centers in Nicaragua and Liberia.
There are many ways for individuals or families to support CAM. This includes giving monetarily, from monthly to yearly or even giving to a specific program. You can also donate time or items.
