“When this award’s nominator, Staff Sergeant Jerrid Keith, joined the team at Nussbaum Transportation: Trucking Company in Village of Hudson, Illinois, he had no way of knowing he’d have to leave within months to start mandatory training in Texas. SSgt Keith told Illinois ESGR: “The team was reassuring while helping me prepare; they sent me a care package, which meant a lot to me.” They also personalized the items they sent by checking with Keith’s brother and uncle, who are fellow Nussbaum employees. Keith told us, “Nussbaum Transportation is a great company to work for. I appreciate their sacrifice and willingness to assist with a great transition back into the civilian sector.” For all the above, Nussbaum Transportation received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve “Above and Beyond” award at Illinois ESGR’s May 13th banquet.”
