A Simple Act of Courtesy

We received a random call-in (the good kind!) about one of our drivers – Terrell Wooton.

“I just wanted to give you some positive feedback on one of your drivers. This might seem like a very simple thing, but I thought it was pretty cool.

I was approaching a stop sign, I was a ways off, and one of your trucks – specifically truck number 1423 – was sitting there. I’ve been to that corner a thousand times over the last 20 years, and whenever there’s a truck there, they pull out in front of me as quickly as they can.

The driver waited for me to amble my way up to that stop sign. He gave me a nod and a wave and encouraged me to go through before he did, and I just thought that was so cool.

I rarely see that kind of behavior out of the industry, and I saw it was one of your trucks, and I thought, ‘Oh of course that’s a Nussbaum truck and a Nussbaum driver.’ And so, I just appreciated that, and it just had a positive impact on me, and kudos to your driver who had every right to just get going and slow down my day, but he slowed down his just a little bit, to make sure that I got through and I loved it.”

  1. And thanks to Mr. Nussbaum and Nussbaum Culture for giving us drivers ‘permission’ to drive below the speed limit and to take the time to be courteous behind the wheel. It’s really something to see ‘the hare’ go by in a mad rush while ‘the tortoise’ just keeps plugging along!

    Good job Terrell!
