A Brother In Need

Angel Hurtado-Bustos

“Angel helped out another driver tonight at his own expense. Sean Kelley had run out of hours a few miles short of the terminal. Angel was waiting in the drivers lounge on a truck repair and was asked if he’d be willing to go out in a company car and drive Sean’s truck in. Angel had the hours, but he was already 6 hours into a 34-hour reset and would have to break it to drive the other truck in. (The only other driver in the lounge was out of hours.) I gave Angel the choice, but he didn’t hesitate. He said he couldn’t leave a brother stranded and he just hoped someone would show up for him if he needed help. I could hear in his voice that he meant it. We have such good people working here.” – Adrienne Riel
