Chris Benge
“Brenda Davis was driving through Mt. Hood when she had the daunting task of putting chains on her truck. Despite her determination, her efforts left her drenched from the snow and disheartened. Alone in her struggle, she yearned for a helping hand. In this moment, hope emerged through the safety team. The safety team, vigilant and responsive, reached out to her, orchestrating a beacon of assistance in the form of Chris Benge, a fellow Nussbaum traveler acquainted with the mountain. Chris, embodying the spirit of compassion, answered the call without hesitation. Not only did he come help put the chains on, but he followed her through the mountain. He even called to tell her where a truck stop was coming up so she could do her laundry. There wasn’t anything he wasn’t willing to do. In a world where self-interest often reigns supreme, his selfless actions served as a beacon of inspiration, a reminder of the profound impact kindness can have in the face of adversity. Shout-out to the Safety team and especially Chris for being the epitome of an employee-owner and helping Brenda through a troubled time.”
