How Do Inspections Affect Nussbaum?
Clean inspections improve Nussbaum’s CSA score. To reward our drivers for a clean inspection, they may receive a $100 bonus and 20 pts on their scorecard!
However, with an unclean inspection, Nussbaum’s CSA score is lowered, the driver may receive a fine from the appropriate jurisdiction and will lose 20 points on their scorecard. If an officer fails to give anything out, nothing happens.
*Please note the driver must report the inspection and turn in their paperwork, no matter what the finding was. A “clean” inspection that has a negative reason listed for the inspection, unfortunately, is an unclean inspection.*
Preparation Checklist
- Do you have 8 days’ worth of paper logs available in your truck?
- Do you have the right trailer listed in the notes?
- Are you doing a pre-trip inspection before you take off for the day? And, is it listed in your logs?
- Do you know where to look for the ELD operating manual?
- Where are the instructions for transferring data at a roadside inspection?
