I value the fact that most of our drivers care about being above-average drivers. Many drivers I encounter strive to give their best and display patience and tolerance in unpleasant situations regardless of the circumstances. It doesn’t seem to matter the details or who was at fault. At times, I will email a driver to thank him/her for their dedication on one of my customer’s loads, and I always get a response to the tune of “that’s what I am supposed to do.”
I enjoy it when drivers come to the office for various reasons. They smile, greet you, and love a good chat—they are happy to be here. I absolutely LOVE the Certification Red ceremonies. Drivers are being honored for their dedication and extra work. They appreciate the recognition and are proud to be standing before us. It really is exciting to celebrate them and hear their personal stories. I believe that our drivers are proud to work for a company that treats them with such esteem and tries to push them to be great.
We have numerous above-average drivers working for Nussbaum. Our drivers stand out; they are not average.
