In Memory of Art Lewis

It is with deep sadness we inform you of the passing of driver Art Lewis on Friday, May 1. He and his wife Virginia “Gin” both drive for Nussbaum. Art’s bright, caring, and fun personality will be sorely missed.

Please keep Gin and the rest of Art’s family in your thoughts and prayers.

“Art was one of the hardest working drivers I’ve had on my team. He was always thinking ahead about how to make the most of his day, definitely a go-getter. He and his wife, Virginia, always treated me like their son. They would tell me, ‘You’re just a few signatures away from being our adopted son.’ He will be missed by so many, and all of us at Nussbaum are sending our condolences to his family during this difficult time.”

“Art was a mild, quiet man who loved Gin very much. He was faithful in his dedicated run. Our prayers are with Gin and their family. Art, you will be missed!”

“This hit home when I saw Art had left us. He was about the same age as me and would call me to ask work-related questions or just let me know about the work that he and Virginia were doing on their new house. He was always laughing and kidding around about not getting in trouble – not so much by me, but as he put it, from his better half Virginia. He will be greatly missed!”

Dale Littlefield

“Art’s phone calls were always welcomed when I would see his picture pop up. He’d always laugh and see the bright side of whatever situation he was in. I will be praying for Virginia to have comfort and understanding in this very difficult season.”

Kevin Funk

“I’m on the GE account with Art and Virginia. Art was a good guy. He’ll be missed. And my heart goes out to Virginia.”

Richard Pennington

“This is my friend, Arthur Lewis. He was a driver on the GE Dedicated, we used to run Amazon when it first started a few years ago, also made a few runs together up and down the highway. Like me, Art was a long time driver and loved riding his Harley. He passed away last Friday in Alabama doing the job that he loved, like the rest of us. Please keep his wife, Virginia, in your prayers as she goes through this difficult time. She is also a driver here at Nussbaum. Godspeed my friend, until we meet again.
