It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of our maintenance technician, Jerry Shipley, on Monday, March 7th. Jerry has been with Nussbaum for 8 years. He had a fun personality and will be deeply missed by us all.
Please keep Jerry’s family in your prayers.
Jerry was a quiet worker. He didn’t come out of his shell much. I remember on one particular Friday morning it was very pleasant outside. James and I were in the old shop office, getting ready to start the day. In walked Jerry with an inspection paper to turn in.
“Oh, it’s a beautiful day!” Jerry sang to himself, in a deep, smooth, mellow voice.
James and I immediately looked up in surprise. Jerry walked out of the room without another word. I remember James and I broke down laughing.
“What just happened?” chuckled James.
Several angels in heaven must have gotten their wings that day. I wish Jerry knew how much of a positive tone he set for that Friday. I remember it being a great day.
