It was the day of the major ice storm. Most employees who lived over 30 minutes from Nussbaum headed out early to work from home. The thick of the storm was approaching…it would be very dangerous to drive home in the white-out icy conditions. As I left and headed to my car, I found it was covered in ice. Klay Nafzinger was already in the parking lot scraping off someone else’s car when he saw me walking to mine. He wore a little glove with a scarper on it. He used the little scraper to remove all the ice off my windows (meanwhile I sat in the warmth of my car). The ice was pelting down on him, and my windshield wiper attacked him on accident…but he didn’t mind. It was very kind, and I am so grateful to work for a place, where I feel like my safety is considered.
