Peoria, IL || My world caved in… then I found hope
I’m a former employee of Nussbaum and was going through some bad times; I moved to Nebraska and wasn’t on the best path. I lost my dad, Jerry Shipley, back in 2022—that’s when my world caved in around me—and I had thoughts of ending my life. My mom got me a train ticket to come back home. The day I came back to Illinois, got off the train, and saw the ‘There is Hope in Troubled Times’ trailer, I just broke down and cried. It was like a message from God or my dad. Right then and there, I knew my future would be looking up, and it has. My relationship with my mom is closer than ever, I have found the love of an amazing woman, and I am working hard at my job at O’Reilly Auto Parts. All of this is because of God leading me in the direction He did. I just want to say thank you, Nussbaum, for being a part of restoring my faith in God.
