What is Nussbaum Technology?

Innovation and integrity — you may have seen this statement on some of our older trailers. It remains a powerful reflection of how we pursue our vision today.

If you’re new to Nussbaum or haven’t heard the news, we’ve been hard at work on a new product designed for the entire trucking industry. This product is a direct example of those two values: innovation and integrity. Nussbaum Technology is developing the app BidRight to help carriers win profitable freight. But how did Nussbaum Technology get started, and how is it connected to Nussbaum Transportation?

Beginnings at Nussbaum Technology

Nussbaum Technology would not exist without several key opportunities.

  1. The first opportunity came from an in-house application created by Tyler Dietrich with support from his team.
  2. The second opportunity was Heavy Duty Trucking naming Tyler a 2024 Emerging Leader for his work on the bidding platform. Their article highlighted SalesScope, BidRight’s predecessor.
  3. The third opportunity emerged when the tool gained industry attention at the CCJ conference. As a result, Nussbaum Transportation won the 2025 CCJ Innovator of the Year award for its automation and standardization of the bidding process—a process that is typically messy and disorganized across the industry. This recognition also brought strong market demand from carriers wanting access to the tool.
  4. The fourth opportunity came when KMSTA, a well‑known trucking advisory firm, reached out about partnering to market the product.

These milestones collectively led to the formation of a separate company: Nussbaum Technology, LLC. It’s been a long road and it’s not over.

After the company was created, Tyler Dietrich became President, and hiring began. Today, the team includes three Software Engineers and one UI/UX Designer, all focused on delivering BidRight.

Many people ask, “How does Nussbaum Technology relate to Nussbaum Transportation?”
The answer: Nussbaum Technology is owned by the same ESOP company as Nussbaum Transportation.

A helpful analogy is to think of the relationship like an incubator and an egg. Nussbaum Transportation created the environment where this idea could grow, and BidRight is the product that developed within that environment.

Legal & Ownership Structure

Legally, Nussbaum Technology, LLC. is owned by the same ESOP group – In Motion Group, Inc. as Nussbaum Transportation. Which means 35% of Nussbaum Technology is also owned by our ESOP. Practically, how this plays out is that when Nussbaum Transportation rises and succeeds, the ESOP for NTECH, succeeds and vice versa. We share success and we share impact.

An extension of honoring God

The vision would be that this seperate company would operate with the same values as Nussbaum Transportation. Not only are we positively impacting the transportation industry, but now we are positively impacting the technology industry as well. When we interact with our vendors, with new customers, partners, and clients. This is a whole new way to glorify God and we are excited to see how this plays out!

Nussbaum Technology will operate with…

  • The same statement of faith
  • The same core values
  • The same actions for impact (core 4)
  • The same mission: to positively impact the trucking, now through software

Progress on BidRight

The team of 5 is moving quickly and has 7 carriers testing the platform in production. The reception is strong with good feedback on what’s needed for them to convert to soley using BidRight. You can follow progress at Nussbaumtech.com. Congrats to the team on the progress they have made so far and we encourage you as it continues!

How to support Nussbaum Technology?

A question we get quite a bit is, “How can I, a Nussbaum Transportation Employee, support Nussbaum Technology?”

Two simple ways:

  1. Cheer on our ESOP partner company.
    • When NTech thrives, our ESOP share price benefits.
  2. Spread the word.
    • If you’re a driver, mention BidRight to other drivers.
    • If more carriers begin using BidRight, the entire industry benefits—and so does Nussbaum Transportation, as freight rates become more strategically placed.

In short, Nussbaum Technology is a new, separate company, partnered with our ESOP and a shared vision to positively impact with every interaction.
