“I’d like to give a shout-out to Carol John. One of our drivers had a medical emergency, resulting in extreme dizziness that forced him to park, unable to drive or even get a ride in a taxiing service to a doctor because of the extreme motion sickness. He was about an hour from any pharmacy, too far for medication delivery to be an option. After multiple phone calls and rounds with various pharmacies to see if any delivery options were available, Carol ultimately reached a dead end. No options were available to get the medication delivered.
As a last resort, I told the driver to call the pharmacy we had been working with, talk to the manager, and see if there was ANY way they could deliver the medication, even though he was out of range of any delivery regions. The driver called CVS back, and they agreed to deliver the medication, sending Cassie, one of their employees, out on her lunch break. The manager then told this driver that one of the only reasons they agreed to do it is because some lady named Carol John had talked to them the day before, trying to help the driver with this tough situation, and her kindness to do whatever she could to help out was so inspiring to them.
The driver wanted to send Carol his thanks and gratitude (and everyone else involved) for going way above and beyond when he was in dire straits and could not help himself. He received his medication, thanks to Carol and Cassie, and should be on the mend soon.” -Matt “Gordy” Gordon
