A Selfless Protecter

Grady Hill

“On January 30th at 8:30pm near Columbus OH on interstate 270 (with eight lanes of traffic!), Grady Hill noticed a car stopped on the interstate. It was in the right lane with its flashers on and traffic was flying by fast. Grady was in the same lane, so he pulled up a safe distance behind the car, parked, and turned his own flashers on, not getting out of his truck. He called the police for assistance and to make sure traffic was aware she was stopped. After the officer got there, he told Grady that she had run out of gas and was unable to get off the interstate, resulting in her being stranded in the right lane. The officer then stopped traffic in one lane, allowing Grady to pull around and leave safely. Grady had felt that the other vehicles would be able to see his truck and trailer better than her car, so he had stopped to protect her from getting rear ended or worse. I thought he deserved an OWNit Moment for his actions-thank you, Grady!” -Dale Littlefield
