Alex Howard has been driving for 2.5 years, motivated by the promise of new experiences and better pay. He previously worked as a union bricklayer and is from Decatur, IL. Off the road, Alex enjoys playing video games and spending time with his children, and he’d love to travel to Africa someday. Arthur “Andy” Palmer

Domicile: Lexington, SC

Andy Palmer has been driving for almost a year and first got into trucking when he needed a job and saw the opportunity this industry offers. He brings a background of service from his time in the military and now calls South Carolina home. Andy loves anything outdoors and dreams of visiting Yellowstone National Park one day. When it’s time for a treat, chocolate or chips are usually his first choice. Welcome to Nussbaum, Andy!

Chris Sikaneta

Domicile: Etna, OH

Chris Sikaneta has been driving for 2 years, fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming a truck driver. He previously worked in accounting and has roots in Zambia, Namibia, and South Africa. Christopher loves spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and would enjoy visiting Swakopmund, Namibia. A memorable experience for him was seeing wild bison in Wyoming. Dewayne Starr has been driving for about a year, inspired to enter trucking by his family and friends. He comes from an industrial background, including warehousing and forklift operation, and is from Manchester, TN. Dewayne enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and he hopes to visit Puerto Rico someday. He appreciates the opportunity to sightsee and meet different people through trucking. Jacob Axton

Domicile: Lenoir, TN

Jacob Axton has been driving for 6 years, drawn to trucking by the chance to travel and gain new experiences on the road. Before becoming a professional driver, he worked in industrial production. When he’s not behind the wheel, Jacob enjoys hunting, fishing, and trying new foods, and he’d love to visit Paris, France someday. On the road, his go-to snacks are pistachios or chips. Jon Allen

Domicile: Munfordville, KY

Jon Allen brings an impressive 36 years of driving experience. Before trucking, he served as an Air Force helicopter technician and grew up as a military “brat,” living around the world. In his free time, Jon enjoys relaxing, fishing, hunting, camping, and hanging out with his Jeep friends, and he’d like to visit Jamaica someday. He recalls a special Thanksgiving in northwest New Mexico when a family brought him a full holiday meal and thanked him for the sacrifices drivers make—an act of kindness he’ll never forget. Sean Liggett

Domicile: Alsip, IL

Sean Liggett is just beginning his trucking career, having started driving on December 4, 2025, fueled by a love of trucks. Before stepping into the driver’s seat, he worked as a laborer and is from Chicago. Sean enjoys spending time with his family, working out at the gym, and he dreams of visiting Bora Bora someday. One of his favorite memories is riding in an 18-wheeler with his grandfather, and he describes himself as very family oriented. A fruit salad is his go-to snack on the road. Walter Lewis

Domicile: Cleveland, OH

Walter Lewis has been driving for 7 years, making a career change into trucking for better financial opportunities. He previously worked in warehouse roles and is from Cleveland, Ohio. When he’s not on the road, Walter values spending quality time with his family and hopes to visit Mecca someday. Wayne Burrage

Domicile: Olice Branch, MS

Wayne Burrage has been driving for about a year, driven by the pay and a love of big trucks. Before trucking, he worked in underground utility work and is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. Wayne enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, shooting sporting clays, working on his truck, and hiking in the woods, and he’d love to visit Iceland in the future. A highlight in his career so far was earning his first paycheck over $1,000 in a week—thanks to a bonus. On the road, he reaches for Slim Jim’s and sunflower seeds. Welcome to Nussbaum, Wayne!

New Office Hires

Hadley Plattner – Brokerage Account Coordinator

We are excited to announce Hadley Plattner will be starting with Nussbaum as a Brokerage Account Coordinator. We have a short-term need in Customer Service and Hadley is filling this gap for a 6-month time frame, with potential that it could turn into something longer. You might recognize Hadley as his previous employer, J. Jacobs Ground Management, often had him working on Nussbaum’s landscapes 😊. Please be sure to make him feel welcome when you meet him!
