Traig Zeigler
“I would like to nominate Traig Zeigler for an OWNit Moment. He is one of the trainers affiliated with our Training Program, and after a trainee’s time with a trainer, we often bring them through the terminal for what we call a “Trainee Touchpoint” to see how their experience was and how things went. One of Traig’s trainees had a lot of good things to say about Traig, but one thing that really stood out was the way in which Traig was able to show him how life in a truck could feel less like life on the road and more like home through cooking meals. The trainee related that he remembered them stopping off only a couple of times while they were out. Every other time, Traig cooked a meal for them, which left an impression that life on the road can still have the comforts of home. Our trainers are not required to provide meals for the trainee, let alone cook for their trainee. However, Traig took it upon himself to do both, which exemplified a vision for what truck driving could be like and made the transition to life in the truck feel much smoother.
