Happy Easter

What if Jesus wasn’t raised from the grave?

Stop for a moment and think – what if Jesus never rose from the grave?

That question changes everything.

Without the resurrection:

  • We could not experience true forgiveness.
  • We would have no hope beyond the grave.
  • There would be no power in the name of Jesus.
  • Jesus would have been a liar, and the prophecies about Him would remain unfulfilled.
  • Our faith would be empty and meaningless.

Paul writes it plainly:

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,  that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures

…  And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have  fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life  only, we are of all people most to be pitied.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 15:17-19

But let’s turn that passage around and reflect on what is true – because Jesus did rise from the dead.

Because Jesus is alive:

  • There is eternal forgiveness in Him.
  • We have unshakable hope.
  • Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be: the Son of God, Savior, and King.
  • Our faith is not in vain; it’s full of joy and promise.
  • There is resurrection power in the name of Jesus.

The resurrection is not just a moment in history – it’s the cornerstone of our faith. It’s what transforms death into life.

Jesus is alive.
And that truth is the reason we rejoice.
