He grew up in Flint, Michigan, and enjoys fishing, hunting, roller skating, hiking, and spending time in nature when he’s not on the road on his 34 hour reset. Angelo McClay Jr

Angelo McClay Jr is a new driver, inspired by his dad, who was a truck driver. He enjoyed being on the road with his dad and wanted to try it out himself. Angelo grew up in Chicago, IL, and likes to work out and take his girlfriend out on dates when he’s not on the road. One of his memorable experiences is throwing up in his dad’s truck. Mickey Schoonover is new to the trucking industry, seeking better pay and new experiences. He grew up in Snicarte, Illinois, and enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, and visiting with friends and family when he’s not on the road. Tanner Ford has no prior experience but has a love for driving, traveling, and seeing the country on the open road. He grew up in Dunlap, IL, and enjoys spending time with friends and family or doing craft projects when he’s not on the road. Tanner doesn’t have any favorite road memories yet but is looking forward to making some. His ideal road snack is beef jerky. John Curler has been driving for 5 years, looking for a new career after contracting and serving in the Army. He grew up in Dubuque, IA, and enjoys home improvements and spending time with his wife and kids when he’s not on the road. One of his favorite memories is his first day driving, which involved driving straight into a blizzard. John’s ideal road snacks are healthy, as his wife is a doctor. Welcome to Nussbaum, John!

New Shop Hires
Matt Baker
We are excited to share that Matt Baker will be taking on the position of Service Writer in Channahon. His start date will be Friday 2/28/2025. Yes, he is looking to start on a Friday 🙂 Over Matt’s career, he has spent time as a yard manager, spotter, and with that, has even filled in using his CDL to help run loads or pick up trucks from different locations. We are excited to have him Join the Nussbaum Team. I believe Matt will be coming to our Bloomington location the week of 3/3 to complete some training and Employment items. If you see him, please make sure to take some time and welcome him to Nussbaum!
Braxton Burleson
We are excited to share that we have filled our Diesel Tech position. Braxton Burleson will be starting with us. Braxton has spent time as an Auto Tech, Tire and Lube Tech, and working as a farm hand! He is excited to get more into the Diesel world and join a company like Nussbaum!
