Awesome! What does “Supplier Excellence” Mean?
First, it means that Nussbaum ranks in the top 5% of Caterpillar’s suppliers worldwide. That’s no small feat!
Second, Caterpillar scores suppliers on seven “Excellence Pillars,” including:
- On-time delivery performance (this is huge) – we achieved 97.6% OTD!
- Network coverage – examining the reach of our service capabilities.
- Tools & Technology – are you adapting to new/emerging technology?
- Engagement & Collaboration – how closely we work with the CAT team.
- Quality – are we delivering products safely and providing accurate reports?
- RCCA Effectiveness – how well we respond to and fix service issues.
- Responsiveness – how well we communicate.
In each category, Nussbaum exceeded both the market performance and Caterpillar’s expectations! (see below). Our overall score was above the 90th percentile, placing us in the “Supplier Excellence” space.
