Winter Weather Advisory – April 16, 2020

As we get closer to the weekend, I wanted to send out a reminder that even though we are in the middle of April, we are still seeing some area’s with heavy snow.

If you are in or heading towards the Colorado, Wyoming, Utah you may be already experiencing some of the snow conditions.

Over the next 24- 36 hours, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Southern portion of Iowa, northern portion of Missouri, Central Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the New England region are going to be seeing upwards of 10 inches of snow.

I know that many area’s have seen those 70 degree temperatures, but we are not quite out of the winter weather conditions yet. Please make sure that you are planning ahead when running into these regions.

Be on the look out if water is kicking up from the road or if it is freezing.

Also remember that with this time of year, the slush that comes from these large snows can make it easy to hit a patch and lose control. The surface could be slush, but underneath can be frozen.

If you are heading in these directions, please take your time and pull over if you do not feel safe.

Stay safe and stay alert.
