Kamden “Kam” Kauth
Domicile: Nussbaum
Kam is new to OTR trucking. He began his trucking career at the Nussbaum Trucking Academy at Heartland. Off the road, Kam likes to golf. He grew up in Bloomington, IL and his favorite memory from the road was finding the deepest natural well in the US. It is used for dive training among other things. His ideal road snack is sunflower seeds. Kam also shares that he was a senior master mechanic for 5 years.
Dream vacation: Little Hog Kay off the coast of Cuba
Kimberly “Kim” Wilson
Domicile: Champaign, IL
Kim is a new truck driver, but she drove a school bus for over 20 years in Chicago and Champaign-Urbana. Kim grew up in Chicago, IL and she got into trucking due to her love of the road. She loves small trucks, big trucks, toy trucks, all trucks! Off the road, she loves raising her children, making things with her hands, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. Her favorite memory from the road was driving to Mobile with her kids. Kim’s ideal road snack is chicken, crispy and greasy. She says, “What else is there?!”
Dream vacation: A boat cruise for 14 days to Italy
Habonimana Emmanuel
Domicile: Rockford, IL
Habonimana has been driving for 8 years. He got into trucking because he likes to drive. Habonimana grew up in Rockford, IL and enjoys sports in his free time. He likes to listen to music while on the road.
Dream vacation: Bujumbura
Jamey Robertson
Domicile: Pleasantville, PA
Jamey has been driving for a little over 2 years. She worked at a school as a special needs aide, and then started driving a school bus and absolutely loved it. She felt she wasn’t making enough so she decided to go for her class A. Jamey loves to drive, travel, and wants to be making a difference. She grew up in Claysburg, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time with her family when off the road. Her favorite road snack is apples. Jamey’s favorite memories from the road are seeing all the beautiful views. She also shares this about herself: “I am a mother of 4. They are all grown. I have a granddaughter and grandson and another on the way. I enjoy crocheting, fishing and traveling. I love to see different areas of the United States. I’m very spiritual. I try to see the positive in everything.”

Joseph “Joe” Bendorf

Joe got into trucking because he wanted to do something different, so he now has been driving for 20 years. Off the road, he enjoys spending time with family. He grew up in Southwest, WI. His favorite road snack is meat sticks. Joe shares that he likes to keep moving.
Dream vacation: Hiking in the mountains
Kaira Castle
Domicile: Vandalia, OH
Kaira has been driving for 7 months and got into trucking because she needed “a new mountain to climb.” She grew up out in the countryside, an hour north of Dayton, OH. Kaira enjoys having cocktails and listening to music while grilling out by the pool. Her favorite memory from the road was taking turns bringing her kids with her. Her ideal road snack is beef jerky. She also shares that she has had every career you can think of before trucking!

Joseph “Shannon” Engleman
Domicile: Newburgh, IN
Shannon has been driving for 34 years, and he got into trucking because of his family. Shannon grew up in Southern Indiana. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. His ideal road snack is trail mix. Shannon’s favorite memories from the road were riding with his dad as a kid.

Nathaniel “Nate/Nathan” Simko
Domicile: New Baltimore, MI
Nathan has been driving for 3 years. He grew up in Detroit, MI. He always wanted to drive a semi as a kid, and decided to take the chance when he was grown up. You might find Nathan hanging out with friends and family, and relaxing when off the road. Nathan’s favorite memory from the road was driving into the Pacific Northwest for the first time, seeing the mountains and forests. He says it is one of the most beautiful places in America. As an ideal road snack, Nathan loves stumbling across “Mom & Pop” truck stops with a good local doughnut to go with his morning coffee. He also shares that he is a gigantic Detroit Red Wings fan, as hockey is his favorite sport. He also likes football and then baseball. He is always happy to talk sports with you.
Dream vacation: I’d love to tour haunted places in the UK.
Jamie Howell
Domicile: Amherst, OH
Jamie has been driving for approximately 20 years, and he began trucking because he wanted a better paying career. Jamie grew up in Grafton, OH and his ideal road snack is pork rinds. Off the road, Jamie likes to spend time with his family, including seven grandkids. He enjoys video games, oil painting, fishing, and hunting. Jamie shares this as his favorite memory from the road: “Nussbaum arranged to get me to Sacramento, CA with a load so I could meet with my wife and our daughter and her husband right after the birth of our first grandchild. My wife then rode back with me to our home in Ohio.” Jamie also shares that Nussbaum is the best company he has ever worked for.
