Darrien got into trucking for the new opportunities it brings. He grew up in Carpentersville and enjoys spending time at home when off the road. Darrien’s favorite road snacks are trail mix and fruit.
Sauncharae “Sacha” Beasley
Domicile: Crown Point, IN
Sacha comes to Nussbaum as a new graduate from CDL school. Sacha grew up in Chicago, IL, and got into trucking because she loves to travel and wanted a career that could help her do so. Off the road, she likes to golf, hike, or do any outside activity. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling. Her ideal road snack is anything from Starbucks or Dunkin. Sacha’s favorite memory from the road was stopping at the Grand Canyon on a road trip from Chicago to San Diego. Sacha also shares that she is a classically trained violinist and percussionist.
Dream vacation: A summer traveling around Europe
Forrest Young
Domicile: Perrysburg, OH
Forrest has been driving for 2 years. He got into trucking because his uncle, a truck driver, brought his first truck home, inspiring Forrest to want to drive since he was 10 years old. Off the road, he enjoys spending time with his kids. Forrest’s ideal road snack is an energy drink and Slim Jims. He grew up in Marion, OH.
James “Jim” Mathias
Domicile: Avon, OH
Jim wanted some freedom and to see the country when he got into trucking, so he has now been driving for 8 years. Jim’s ideal road snack is a protein bar and a bottle of water. He grew up in Cleveland, OH, and he enjoys hanging out with his friends and dog, and seeing live music. Jim’s favorite memory from the road was watching the sunrise in Wyoming while driving, as well as going to NYC a number of times and surviving.

James Hickey

James has been driving for 4 years. He grew up in Cleveland, OH. His favorite memories from the road were seeing the southeast Texas sunsets.

Steven “Steve” Krashefski
Domicile: DeForest, WI
Steve has been driving for 2 years. This is what Steve says about why he got into trucking: “I love driving and have always been fascinated with semi-trucks since I was a little kid. I never thought I would drive a truck, but an opportunity for a career change appeared, so I decided to finally start driving semi-trucks. It is still kind of surreal.” Off the road, Steve enjoys bicycling, hiking and camping, writing, and spending time with his loved ones. He grew up in Buffalo, NY, and his ideal road snack is coffee and water. Steve shares this as his favorite memory from the road: “Anytime I blow my truck’s air horn for little kids that are giving me the signal asking me to do that. I used to be a little kid like that, standing on overpasses or the side of the road, so it’s pretty awesome to be on the other side of that interaction and make kids’ days.”
