David Otto
Domicile: Carbon Cliff, IL
David has been driving for 5 years. He got into trucking because he needed to get financially healthy, and he has a love for travel and adventure. He grew up in Moline, IL. Off the road, David enjoys drawing and painting illustrations, playing guitar, and working with his wife in their home baking business. His ideal road snack is the Quest brand Cookies-N-Cream protein bar. David’s favorite memory from the road was coasting in “E” down into Cheyenne, WY on I-80.
Dream vacation: Reykjavik, Iceland
Romain Grant
Domicile: Elgin, IL
Ever since he got his license, Romain has always loved driving. He likes being on the road and seeing new places. He has now been driving a truck for a few months. Romain’s favorite road snack is pretzels and when not on the road he enjoys working out, playing video games, and cooking. He also shares that he loves basketball and soccer.
Dream vacation: Touring Europe and Caribbean countries
Scott Hicks
Domicile: Stanton, PA
Scott got into trucking because of his passion for driving and the need to take care of his family. He grew up in Central PA near Gettysburg and has been driving for 5 years. When not on the road Scott enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and tennis, swimming, and playing the piano. His ideal road snack combo is Bugles or Pringles and sweet tea or Mountain Dew. He also shares that he has a wife and two sons, aged 4 and 9. Faith and family is their foundation as well.
Dream vacation: Hawaii
Stan Senecal
Domicile: Nussbaum
Stan got into trucking because it was a bucket list item, so he is very new to the industry. When Stan is back home, he spends his time working around the house. Stan grew up in Ithaca, NY and his favorite road snacks are deer, any wild animal, or beef jerky.
Dream vacation: A tropical island
Percy “Andre” Sherman
Domicile: Griffith, IN
Andre was looking to earn more money when he started trucking. He has now been driving for 3 years. He grew up in Memphis TN, and off the road Andre is an avid hunter, fisher, and outdoorsman. His favorite road snack is fresh fruit. He also shares that he loves to travel and try new things. Andre’s favorite memory from the road was when he once stopped in Texas and a catfish pond was next to his load assignment. He was early so he got some fishing time in. He caught 4 nice-sized catfish and cooked them up that night.
Dream vacation: A cabin high in the mountains
Jacob “Jake” Peterson
Domicile: Carbon Cliff, IL
Jake comes to Nussbaum with 18 years of driving experience. He got into the industry because of his family and love for traveling. Off the road, Jake spends his time fishing, riding motorcycles, and being with family.

New Office Hires
Rusty Damerell
Rusty Damerell has accepted the CAC position and will be starting with Nussbaum on 5/6/2024. For the last 20 years, Rusty has been working as an Owner Operator where he learned how to Drive from his grandpa. He is ready to get out of the truck and has spent time as a parts representative. He has driven by Nussbaum and always wondered about us, so he is excited to get started here!
