Andy Colontuono

Domicile: Crete, IL

Andy comes to us having just graduated from Progressive Truck Driving School. He got into trucking because he wanted some change and was looking for bigger and better opportunities. He grew up in Crete, IL, and he enjoys working out, running, swimming, spending time with family, and gaming when not on the road. Andy’s favorite memory on the road was going to Chicago for the first time and seeing the buildings and architecture. Andy’s ideal road snack is smoked salmon, mayo, mozzarella, and guacamole on an everything bagel. He is excited to work here and meet his new coworkers.

Dream vacation: Glacier national park

Phillip Smogoleski

Domicile: Manistee, MI

Phillip says he got into trucking because, “I got tired of the four walls and decided to try something different. My brother is a driver and talking with him helped me decide to get my CDL and drive.” Phillip has been driving for almost 5 years. His favorite memory from the road was parking at a small stop to visit Valley Forge on his 10-hour break. His ideal road snack is Tornadoes. He grew up in Ludington, Michigan. When not on the road, Phillip likes to spend time with his family. His hobbies are reading books and comic books, metal earth model building, WWII history, and video gaming.

Dream vacation: Ireland, Paris, and the Normandy beaches

Shannon Swearingen

Domicile: Nussbaum

Shannon is a new driver. He grew up in the Peoria area and got into trucking because he desired a career change. When not on the road, Shannon enjoys time with his wife and grandchildren.

Dream vacation: Gulf Shores, Alabama

Nikki Driscoll

Domicile: Toledo, OH

Nikki will have been driving for 1 year in August. She came to trucking after leaving a 25-year career in nursing. When not on the road she loves to boat, camp, remodel, and do anything active. Nikki also shares that she lived in Washington state and Arizona state.

Dream vacation: Norway

Jason Lucas

Domicile: Kylertown, PA

Jason has been driving for 18 years. He got into trucking because there was not much else to do in his area, and his family was involved in trucking. Jason grew up in Pennsylvania and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and swimming when not on the road. His ideal road snack is beef jerky.

Dream vacation: Hawaii

Keith Cavitt

Domicile: Grand Prairie, TX

Keith got into trucking because he wanted to see the country. He has been driving for 4 1/2 years. Keith enjoys remodeling his house, fishing, and riding motorcycles when not on the road. He grew up in Irving, TX.

Geno Reid

Domicile: Harriman, TN

Geno has been driving for 25 years. He got into trucking after doing body and paint mechanic work for 25 years. He grew up in California and when not on the road he enjoys working on his antiques. His favorite road snack is fruit. Geno’s favorite memory from the road was winning souls to Christ. He also shares that he is a God-fearing man.

New Office Hires

Brian Hafen

We are happy to share that Brian Hafen will be joining Nussbaum on 4/1/2024. Brian has spent the last 25 years working at State Farm – Last March (2023), he was part of the State Farm transition that switched hundreds of IT employees to a 3rd party company. It has been the same work, but it has caused him to look for a different company and through some friends he had heard about Nussbaum. When the Senior Systems Admin position came up, he was excited and eager to join!
