In each situation, a driver was inspired to perform at a level of outstanding quality. And I am convinced that for every “Own It” Moment that gets published, a hundred more go unrecognized. Nussbaum drivers continually go above and beyond the call of duty – that is EXCELLENCE in motion.

Excellence is the quality of being exceptionally good. It’s meeting and surpassing expectations. When we see excellence, we appreciate it. We are inspired to imitate it. When drivers perform with excellence at Nussbaum, our customers benefit from exceptional service.

Vendors, such as the TA in Branford, CT, appreciate us when we treat them with friendliness and respect. Those who observe us are impressed, as Bill McNamee expressed when observing Jon Shepherds’ driving.

We gain the trust of those around us, as Jerey Harper did when he returned the wallet he found. And we brighten the corner around us when we can do something extra for someone else.

What drives you not to be satisfied with mediocrity but to go beyond average?

Ideally, it comes from within, from a desire to serve the Lord with our whole heart. To go the extra mile, love our enemies, and do those things that are not expected. It’s discovering that the deepest happiness comes from serving others, from making an impact in the lives of those around us.
