“I wanted to put Jeff in for an OWNit Moment, due to his going way above and beyond. He had a blowout on a tire, and somewhere in the process from blowout to repair, his harness got cut/damaged, resulting in no lights. Jeff spent nearly 6 hours getting all of the wire slack pulled out. He then spliced them himself and got the lights working again so that the load could be delivered, and he wouldn’t need towed. To do this, Jeff was going in and out of the subzero cold every 10-20 minutes to work on wires, warm up, work on wires, warm up, etc. Jeff saved us a 2-day wait on a repair plus a 6-7 hour wait on a tow and the associated fees … all in -10 degree weather. I felt he deserved recognition. A lot of drivers would’ve enjoyed the bunk heat in this time, waiting on the tow/repair, instead of getting out there and solving the problem. Jeff owned it by making the repair himself so that he could keep moving. I appreciate having a driver like Jeff who is diligent and hard-working, not taking the (extreme) cold as an excuse to shut down.” – Ed Gabriel
