Note: We ask for patience regarding technical issues. This is a very new thing for us, and we are trying to do it the best we can, but expect that some issues will arise. Our team are not Zoom experts, but we will do what we can to help, just maybe not while actually live. You should be able to reach out to Zoom if you experience connection issues or application issues.
What is the advantage of doing a Zoom broadcast versus just a regular podcast?
Hey Wayne! Zoom is really just the tool that allows us to broadcast live and interact with our listeners. Getting questions in advance is great, and we still encourage that. But, having the ability to dialog live can add context to the question or prompt follow up questions that can be valuable to everyone else as well.
Additionally, video adds another dimension that doesn’t exist in the audio-only format. Now, you can see facial expressions and other non-verbals that you would never get from an audio podcast. And at points, we can share visuals on screen to help communicate even more effectively.
We will make both the recorded video and audio-only podcast available to stream on-demand after the live broadcast. If you can’t attend live, you will still have at least the same experience as before by listening at your convenience.
Hope that helps!
