American Heart Month – Week 1
February is National Heart Health Month. Taking care of your ticker should be a top health priority. This month (and hopefully beyond!), try getting in an extra 15-20 minutes of activity.
Your heart will thank you for anything that gets you moving and out of a sitting or sedentary position.
My favorite way of getting my heart pumping is going for a brisk walk. I say brisk because I’m walking quickly, but also because it’s winter, and it’s usually pretty brisk weather-wise too! Even if it’s just 15 minutes, some fresh air, no matter the temperature, always clears my head and leaves me in a better mood.
