January is a drab month for most people. Never-ending grayness and cold can make even the most cheerful person feel gloomy. To combat mid-winter fatigue, Nussbaum likes to host a soup contest for the office personnel (and any drivers passing through) in January. Contestants make their favorite soups, bring them in, and samplers vote on their favorite soups. At the end of the day, a lucky winner comes away with a golden soup ladle prize and some prize money. And everyone comes away with full stomachs.
